Athlete Profile - Eric Bowers- 2010 State Summer Games
Eric Bowers, 20, had a great birthday the day of the Special Olympics, June 5, 2010. He was frustrated his team didn’t win but they all tried hard and he said that is what counts.
The Special Olympics has brought him a lot of new friends, travelling to a lot of places. “It is fun, awesome,” he said.
“When I first started playing, two years ago, I wasn’t that good,” Bowers said. “I am better at the game now because I practice all the time.”
When he isn’t playing basketball, he is playing video games, computer, outside, swimming, or hanging out with friends.
