Kassie GloverSpecial Olympics Athlete Kathryn Glover, a Syracuse resident, received a special honor when selected as the first athlete to be seated on the Games Organizing Committee for a State Game. For the State Winter Games, she represents all athletes statewide, and she has given media interviews, assisted with fundraising, and recruited family members working in law enforcement and their departments for the Law Enforcement Torch Run, culminating in lighting the Flame of Hope during Opening Ceremonies.

Kathryn has trained and competed in Central New York for more than 15 years, serving as a Global Messenger for 10 years. “While in Washington, D.C. I felt as though my voice was heard, and that I made a difference for over 47,000 athletes throughout the state.”
