Thomas has spent her lifetime helping those in need and was honored in 2008 with the Lillian B. Redclay Award for Outstanding Contribution to Community Mental Health Hygiene Services. Thomas has volunteered for over 27 years to Special Olympics New York.
Thomas feels a special connection with the athletes and enjoys sharing in their camaraderie as they prepare for their sports activities.
