Law & Orders
Applebee’s Law & Order Marathon!
What is it?
Special Olympics New York has partnered with TL Cannon; the parent company that owns and operates 53 Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill restaurants in New York. For this one-night event, Law Enforcement agents staff locations across New York State to help greet customers, assist the wait staff with refills and bussing tables, and educate patrons on Special Olympics New York, the Law Enforcement Torch Run, and our mission. Patrons can then leave donations in specified envelopes on their tables. All proceeds benefit Special Olympics New York Athletes.
Why?
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is about more than just running. We want to bring awareness to our communities for the Special Olympics Mission: To provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-style sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. With that we can continue to give our athletes the opportunity to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic Athletes and the community.
Applebee’s Law & Order events give our law enforcement supporters a chance to mingle with members of their community to promote LETR, Special Olympics and raise money for our athletes!
When and Where?
Applebee’s Law and Order Marathon events are set to occur twice a year; once in the Spring to help promote the Torch Run, and once in the late Fall to bring awareness to our Polar Plunge Season. Below is the schedule, please stay tuned for more upcoming dates.
